Founded in 1988, in Tokyo, ENOTECA specialises in the import, trading and retailing of fine wines. The company currently operates 32 directly-managed wine specialty retail shops under the brand name of "WINE SHOP ENOTECA", located in 10 different cities in Japan. The company also operates mail order sales and online sales in Japan. Enoteca’s wholesales operations are located throughout Japan to supply its directly imported wine to major department stores, high-class grocery stores and major four and five-star hotels throughout the country. All wines are shipped in well-equipped Reefer Containers from origin to warehouses in Hong Kong and Japan to ensure the wines are stored at the proper temperature and humidity at all times.
